david warmenhoven
“my work is a diary of life…..my life……and life around me……past, present, and future…..the way I see it……”
david warmenhoven was born in west Michigan in 1967.…..typical middle class america in a time of swirly contrasts of hippie Vietnam outer space laser gun shooting super elastic bubble plastic cosmonaut sputnik………major influences are the Saturday morning cartoons I grew up with as a child to the street art that I see daily all around me on trains, media, graffiti, and the things I hear and thoughts I have around me on a daily basis……….I like experimenting with absurd and mundane words and applying them coherently to images to create a page in my life in history…….I want the person viewing my art to see a new twist or angle on the subject in each piece…..to observe, what is so easy to overlook, in the movement of everyday life……..an injection of the whimsical side of life and leaving “serious” behind…….I want to convey emotion through selection of color and expression of line and form in each piece that I create…….
Working on multiple pieces at a time so that the energy and consistency of the medium experimentation flows from one piece to the next……..heredity……primitive, absurd, exaggerated, inventive and lively……a melting of left brain and right brain……….always evolving
My art is a product of pure necessity...
it is well thought out, but, initiated spontaneously and applied in a quick orchestrated movement……it is raw and open, but, it is me, the way I think……what is on my mind……..it is love and hate, fear, life, anger, happiness, uncorked……..

big bang theory......
art was not to be a real part of my life until I picked up a paint brush in 2000 at the age of 33 and began selling art on “ ebay.”…….. Since then my art has been in numerous Galleries and Museums, in Group, Invitational, Juried, and Solo Art Shows I started selling paintings and drawings on Ebay in 2000 and stopped in 2004. Selling via the internet has allowed my art to be displayed and collected by a world wide audience in both Private and Corporate Art Collections in: Japan, United Kingdom (UK), Ireland, Australia, Canada, Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, New York City, Philadelphia, Chicago, Cleveland, Houston, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, and in little towns you may not have ever heard of.
